'Conscious America’ is a site designed, in hope, to show that we can control many critical aspects of our lives, if we choose to accept responsibility for the choices that we make.

We are losing the war in Iraq. Can we still win the war on terror?Date Released: 10/14/2005
Americans are such a confused society. Some say that we are fighting the War on Terror that reaches across many countries. Others see it as the war against criminal gangs or terrorists: "Why did we go to Iraq when our enemy is Al Qaeda?". Many have filled their hearts with hatred and the only enemy they see is the President Bush: "He divided America!", "He lied to us!", and so on. How can we possibly stand against such a terrible enemy and hope to win, with so much evil and confusion in America and so many not willing to see our foe for what it is?

For decades we stood by and allowed radical clerics to preach hatred throughout the Arab world. While good and decent people in the Middle East became isolated and stripped of influence, Evil, claiming ten's of millions of followers, spread across the lands. Just like the way it was in the Nazi Germany: while Evil covered the land, people said, "No! It can't happen. Give it time. It'll sort itself out." or "It has nothing to do with us." Well, it did! Just like today.

The real and sad part of it all is that we do not have a voice of decency, demanding a better support for our troops (increased wages for soldiers and their families, body protection, armored vehicles, etc.), as well as the real and tangible changes for the people in Iraq and Afghanistan (much better wages, financial and medical support for unemployed, a real difference in education, etc.). After 4 years of invading Afghanistan and "winning" the war, the country is on the list of 6 most impoverished places in the World: 40% of the people have no food... The drug trade had increased from 15% in the pre-war years of the total world export of opium to 85% today... So much for "winning"! If we continue being muted by the radicals on all sides, we have no chance of winning. If decency has no voice, then decent will pay the price along with the evil.

Here is a great article, written by Ali Al-Ahmed in the Wall Street Journal, that may give those with an open mind a view of what we are facing - a Dragon with many heads and moods, to appease those not willing to deal with the Truth:
